چکیده

We describe ACDS, an automatic diagnostic system. ACDS is capable of diagnosing faults on analog circuits in dynamic conditions. The circuit’s dynamic behavior is studied by means of a series of intrastate simulations during which the qualitative state of the circuit does not change. An acquisition board collects the value of a set of quantities corresponding to accessible test points. These measurements are converted into qualitative values and are used for two purposes: first, to determine the state of the circuit components; second, to trigger the diagnostic procedure whenever a discrepancy between observed and predicted behavior is found. The main difficulty in this phase of measurement interpretation consists in obtaining meaningful numerical–qualitative data conversion for values of quantities approaching a boundary between two different qualitative intervals. System performance has been verified through a number of simulations, which have shown the proposed approach to be efficient both in terms of localized faults and of flexibility in adapting to different circuits.

Switched-Capacitor Dynamic Threshold PMOS (SC-DTPMOS) Transistor for High Speed Sub-threshold Applications

This work studies the effects of dynamic threshold design techniques on the speed and power of digital circuits. A new dynamic threshold transistor structure has been proposed to improve performances of digital circuits. The proposed switched-capacitor dynamic threshold PMOS (SC-DTPMOS) scheme employs a capacitor along with an NMOS switch in order to effectively reduce the threshold voltage of ...

A New Circuit Scheme for Wide Dynamic Circuits

In this paper, a new circuit scheme is proposed to reduce the power consumption of dynamic circuits. In the proposed circuit, an NMOS keeper transistor is used to maintain the voltage level in the output node against charge sharing, leakage current and noise sources. Using the proposed keeper scheme, the voltage swing on the dynamic node is lowered to reduce the power consumption of wide fan-in...

Development of a Dynamic Population Balance Plant Simulator for Mineral Processing Circuits

Operational variables of a mineral processing circuit are subjected to different variations. Steady-statesimulation of processes provides an estimate of their ideal stable performance whereas their dynamicsimulation predicts the effects of the variations on the processes or their subsequent processes. In thispaper, a dynamic simulator containing some of the major equipment of mineral processing...

Dynamic Simulation of CNTFET-Based Digital Circuits

In this paper we propose a simulation study to carry out dynamic analysis of CNTFET-based digital circuit, introducing in the semi-empirical compact model for CNTFETs, already proposed by us, both the quantum capacitance effects and the sub-threshold currents. To verify the validity of the obtained results, a comparison with Wong model was carried out. Our mode...

Qualitative Multiple-Fault Diagnosis of Continuous Dynamic Systems Using Behavioral Modes

Most model-based diagnosis systems, such as GDE and Sherlock, have concerned discrete, static systems such as logic circuits and use simple constraint propagation to detect inconsistencies. However, sophisticated systems such as QSIM and QPE have been developed for qualitative modeling and simulation of continuous dynamic systems. We present an integration of these two lines of research as impl...
